Red and Yellow Bases

In our Red and Yellow Bases we offer five morning or five afternoon sessions per week as part of the 15 hours free early learning grant for all children aged 3 years and above.

Children are eligible for the grant the term after they turn 3 years old – please click here to find out more about free early learning for 3 and 4 year olds.

The funded sessions are 8.30-11.30 and 12.30-3.30. Hours around this will be at an additional charge. Please see the Terms and Conditions for the cost.

In addition, we also offer 30 hours places for working parents as well as the possibility of extending hours at the Nursery to suit their families’ needs. Please click here to find out more about our wraparound care provision.

Our Nursery rooms are run by a team of very experienced Teachers, Nursery Nurses and Teaching Assistants.
Each child is part of a Key Group (a maximum of 12 children) and is supported by their Key Person who is responsible for encouraging their learning and development through play.
Children who have additional educational or health needs are also offered individual specialist support and in some circumstances, children are allocated a Teaching Assistant to work on a one to one basis with them.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and each child’s development is observed, planned for and evaluated on a daily basis. Please read our Learning and Teaching (Curriculum) Policy to find out more.

If you would like to apply for a place for your child in our Red or Yellow Bases, please complete the application form and the funding form and return it to the Nursery as soon as possible.

The Nursery School URN number is 110593.
