We have a range of activities at the Centre for parents/carers to enjoy with their children. Details of these are regularly updated in our 'What’s On'.
Everyone is welcome to attend any of our activities, unless an activity is targeted to meet a specific need and has a limited number of spaces (which will be specified if applicable).

Stay and Play: 'ABC' and 'Playdays' are our weekly stay and play groups for children aged 0-4 years and their parents and carers. These are friendly spaces where children can play and learn and parents have the opportunity to meet other parents or speak to members of staff. The rooms are set up to facilitate a range of play opportunities such as physical play, messy play and role play- all linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage.
If you are not free to come along during the week, why not try our Family Saturday Group which runs on the second Saturday of each month!

New Parents Group: This is a relaxed group for parents and babies under 1 year. Parents can come along to meet others, share experiences, access breast-feeding and post-natal support if needed and enjoy a cup of tea! It can be hard to be at home with a young baby – having some company can be a lifeline and is good for the baby too! Angela Upton who runs this group is also a certified baby massage instructor.

Ducklings Group (for children with additional needs): Sometimes children have specific developmental needs and require some extra help from parents and services. This group offers support to parents and provides children with individual structured and fun play activities to support their development. This is a referral only group – please contact the Centre for more information.

Growing Together: We believe that parents are their child’s first educator and that children learn an amazing amount in their first few months and years. For families with children 0-3 years, this group looks at the important role parents play in their child’s development and provides tips and strategies for supporting children’s learning in fun ways. This group has a limited number of spaces, so if you are interested in attending, please contact the Centre.
